Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22, 1985 New York City New York) has received acclaim for her ability to act across different various genres from historical dramas, thrillers and action-packed films. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an architect father and producer mother. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest siblings of four. In her early years, she began performing. In fact, by 7 years old she was already auditioning for several commercials. In order to improve her acting skills, she joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan and then the Professional Children's School. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she worked with Ethan Hawke. She then appeared in her first film in North (1994), written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson played the lead role as a character in Just Cause (1995), after which she made her debut with Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans, who manage to escape. After that, she earned the praise of critics for playing a teenage girl who had been injured and resulted in her being damaged as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her popularity grew for her performance in Ghost World (2002) as the self-deprecating outcast Rebecca. She's among the main characters. Besides appearing on the series she is also an accomplished stage actress. She's given one of the most memorable shows, like in Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith entered the arena of entertainment at the age when she was very young. At the age of a young girl, she discovered her passion for acting. Smith got her first of many acting roles when she was just 6. She appeared in a Dannon commercial for television. Like many actresses who are new have done, she decided to further develop her skills in theater. Additionally, she was involved in various productions across the USA as well, and Wildflower was her first stage production. She graduated from her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
